Afghanistan will cross swords with Pakistan for the third and final T20I match at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on March 27. Afghanistan has won back-to-back two matches and has claimed the series title and now will be looking forward to a clean sweep. On the other side, the Pakistan team will play for their pride and would like to win at least one match in this series which has been a nightmare for them.

In the 2nd T20I match, Pakistan chooses to bat first, winning the toss. They did not get a proper start with their newly assembled team and lost two wickets in the first over of the match. It was not too late when they lost their third wicket and were struggling to get runs in the powerplay. 

Imad Wasim’s heroics somehow saved Pakistan from an utterly humiliating score. He played a knock of 64 runs off 57 deliveries to take their side to a decent score of 130 runs at a loss of six wickets. Skipper Shadab Khan has also played a short cameo which helped to accumulate quick runs. The Afghan Tigers started off much well and chased down the target with ease. The innings went slowly but they didn’t lose many wickets in the process of chasing. Ibrahim Zadran and Mohammad Nabi assisted Afghanistan across the finishing line, as they won the match with seven wickets to spare. 

Afghanistan also won the first game, which was their first win over Pakistan in any format. In the second win game, they had an unassailable lead against their rivals. They now have an outstanding opportunity to win this game and engrave their name in the history of this game.

Pitch and Weather Report

It is one of the most excellent batting surfaces, and this ground often has scores of 200 or higher. Both teams would have no qualms about choosing to bat first after winning the toss since it has proven to be a very challenging turf for the bowlers.  

There is no finer setting for batters than this one. The Sharjah Cricket Stadium boasts a level playing surface, a quick outfield, and short boundary lines. There is nothing in there for the fast bowlers on this surface, and the ball comes into the bat wonderfully. Spinners will be a headache here, as both teams have some fabulous spin attacks.

The track will be suitable for batting since it will be a hot and muggy day in Sharjah. The temperature would be between 30℃ and 22℃ with a wind speed of 16 km/h in the east direction.

Match Prediction

Afghanistan are surely in the seventh heaven after sealing the series against their arch-rivals. Pak batters and bowlers are not having a good time and the Afghan Tigers are expected to overshadow them in the next game too. Hence we fancy Afghanistan to whitewash Pakistan by winning this match.
