Andrew Flintoff hospitalised after car crash
Andrew Flintoff airlifted to the hospital following an accident
Former England cricketer & radio presenter Andrew Flintoff has been hospitalised following an accident while filming for BBC’s Television Show ‘Top Gear’. The 45-year-old was shooting with a crew at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey on Monday (December 12) when the car crash took place.
"Freddie was injured in an accident at the Top Gear test track this morning - with crew medics attending the scene immediately," as stated by BBC. "He has been taken to hospital for further treatment and we will confirm more details in due course."
The injuries sustained by Flintoff weren’t life-threatening and the former all-rounder was driving on the normal track in a controlled manner as reported by ‘The Sun’.
"All the usual health and safety measures were in place for filming too," a source was cited narrating ‘The Sun’. "Freddie was taken to hospital by air ambulance shortly afterwards. Filming has been postponed for now and all anyone cares about is Freddie recovering."
This is the second time in the recent past that Flintoff has been affected by a misfortune filming on the show. In the year 2019, he somehow walked away safely from a 125mph crash.
"I go to great lengths to make sure I do well in Top Gear drag races but, on this occasion, I went a few lengths too far. It will look more ridiculous than dangerous when you see it on TV.", he later admitted.
