Rahul Dravid’s son Anvay Dravid selected as Karnataka under-14 cricket team’s captain

Anvay Dravid, son of India’s legendary batsman Rahul Dravid who is also the senior Men’s Team India’s coach has been selected as the captain of the Karnataka under-14 team in a zonal tournament. Anvay is definitely following his father’s footsteps as he is recognised as a great batter for his age and has been well-prized for his hard work and consistency with the bat. He plays for Karnataka in the junior division and has been named the leader of the under-14 side. 

Also, another interesting fact is that Anvay is also a wicketkeeper batter just like his father. Rahul Dravid was India’s full-time wicketkeeper in Tests and ODIs for more than a decade. The man was known as ‘The Wall’ in the cricket fraternity and took responsibility for the Indian side when the team was struggling to find a quality player behind the stumps. The time when MS Dhoni arrived in the team, we saw him play as a batsman only.

Anway is not the only son of Dravid who is on the way to greatness in the game of cricket. His elder brother is also a cricket player. Samit recently smashed two double centuries in the 2019-20 season at the under-14 level.
