1st ODI: IND vs AUS

After conquering the BGT test series by 2-1 for consecutive four times, now team India is all set to host Australia in the limited-overs format. The 3-match ODI series between India and Australia is set to begin on Friday. The 1st ODI match will start at 01:30 PM IST on 17th March. This match is scheduled to take place in Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Both teams are on a winning run. The Visitors have won 9 of their last 10 matches while the Hosts India has lost only 2 of their last 10 ODIs.

Team India played its last ODI match against New Zealand on 24 January 2023 in Indore. India won that match by 90 runs. The Indian team defeated both New Zealand and Sri Lanka in the ODI and T20 International series at home two months ago. Skipper of the side Rohit Sharma won't be available for the first ODI due to family commitments and Shreyas Iyer will not be available for the entire ODI series due to injury. In the absence of Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya will captain the team.

The wicket-keeper batter KL Rahul is likely to bat at 6 for this ODI series. On the other hand, the condition in the Australia camp is pretty much similar as well. Pat Cummins is in Australia following his mother's death and he won't be part of this ODI series. In his place, Steve Smith will take charge of the Australian team.
