Adil Rashid and Babar Azam on top of T20I and ODI Rankings

England leg spinner Adil Rashid has reached the summit of bowlers’ ranking in T20 internationals, while Pakistan batter has replaced Shubman Gill at the top of the men’s ODI rankings.

Rashid went past two other leg spinners- Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan (No.2) and India’s Ravi Bishnoi (No.3)- after claiming seven wickets in the first four T20Is of England’s ongoing series in the West Indies. He is only second England player after Greame Swan to become No.1 in the Men’s T20I rankings for bowlers. Rashid’s rise to the top came 24 hours after he went unsold during the Indian T20 League 2024 auction.

India’s Suryakumar Yadav remains at pole position in the T20I batter rankings after scoring a half century and a century in the second and third T20I respectively in South Africa. He has now taken a lead of 100 rating points over Mohammad Rizwan at second.

Kane Williamson remains No.1 in the test rankings while Usman Khawaja climbs up three places to fourth following Australia’s huge win against Pakistan in Perth, with another chance to reduce the gap during the Boxing Day Test match.

Pat Cummins has moved up by one spot to third in the Test bowling rankings, while Nathan Lyon has ascended to fifth, Mitchel Starc to eighth, and Josh Hazlewood to tenth. Veteran India off spinner R. Ashwin remains the top ranked (1) bowler in Tests.
