After completely overpowering Ireland in the first match of the series, Bangladesh will now eye to win the second clash as well and seal the trophy. The Bangla Tigers received the services of Sakib-al-Hasan (93 runs off 89 balls) and Towhid Hridoy (92 runs off 85 balls) absolutely running over the Irish bowling attack. Keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim played a blistering cameo which helped the Bangladesh side to post 338 runs on board at the end of 50 overs. 

On the other hand, Ireland has a lot of positives from the match which they can further work on for development. Although they lost the match by 183 runs they are a comparatively younger side that doesn’t have much playing experience in these conditions. Yet ahead of the ODI World Championship, this is a huge chance for them to adapt to the conditions and perform well in the remaining matches of the series.
