After a month-long action-packed drama, it’s time for the ultimate action where the four times champion Trinbago Knight Riders will cross swords with three times trophy winner Guyana Amazon Warriors. The highly expected final match is scheduled to be held at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Monday, September 25.

TKR clashed against GUY in Qualifier 1 of the Caribbean T20 League and secured their place in the finals with a power-packed performance. The Warriors set a target of 166 runs which was later chased down by the Knights with stellar performance from their batters. They covered the target in just 18 overs with 7 wickets to spare. Chadwick Walton was the best performer with 80 runs under his belt. The bowling department was led by Waqar Salamkheil and Terrance Hinds who picked up two wickets apiece. 

On the other side, GUY exhibited their grit and determination through their performance in their second qualifier and snatched a comfortable victory by a massive 81-run margin. The home side drafted 182 runs on the scoreboard riding on the backs of Shai Hope’s 40 and Azam Khan’s 54 runs respectively. Imran Tahir later claimed the victory by picking three scalps.
