The 11th season of the Caribbean T20 League is all set to begin on Thursday, August 17. The first encounter will be between Saint Lucia Kings and Jamaica Tallawahs at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet in St Lucia. 

JAM are the defending champions of this tournament. They defeated Barbados Royals in the final game by 8 wickets to lift up the prestigious trophy. The Tallawahs side will be led by Brandon King this year as they get prepared for defending their title.

Both SLK and JAM faced off in the Eliminator round of the previous season where Jamaica defeated St Lucia by 33 runs to knock them out of the competition. The Kings finished in the third position third season last year and under the captaincy of Faf Du Plessis, they would eye for the silverware this year. 

No doubt it will be an explosive start to the season and both sides would be looking forward to a win in the first match for a positive start.

JAM have a very powerful bowling attack. Though they don’t have a good track record at this venue, their players would be eager to change the instances.SLK on the other side would be getting the home advantage and their batting side is strong. Thus we expect a close contest between the two in the season opener, but Saint Lucia Kings will have a slight edge, making them the favourites to win this inaugural game.
