St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Barbados Royals will square off for the 10th match of the ongoing Caribbean T20 League on Sunday, August 27. Warner Park in Basseterre, St Kitts will host the match. Both sides are yet to fetch a win in this season of the tournament.

SKN’s inaugural two games were spoiled due to rain. They then suffered a huge loss against the Jamaica Tallawahs in the third match by eight wickets with 21 deliveries left in hand. In their recent and fourth encounter, they tasted another humiliating defeat by 65 runs against Guyana Amazon Warriors.  While chasing a target of 198 runs, the Evin Lewis-led side were bowled out for just 132 runs in 16.5 overs.

On the other side, BAR had an upsetting start this edition of the league as they lost to Saint Lucia Kings by 54 runs. They conceded 201 runs in the first innings of the game. The only positives they can carry forward from the loss is Jason Holder’s four-fer. Nyeem Youn, convinced with the bat in hand scored 48 runs off 39 deliveries but the knock wasn’t enough in engulfing such a huge score in 20 overs. The Royals' most recent encounter against Jamaica was washed away due to rain without a single delivery bowled.

A score of 180 is tough to chase on this pitch as the ground tends to become slower in the second half of the game.

Match Prediction

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots are entering into this match riding on the back of two consecutive losses at this stadium. On the other hand, the Royals also performed poorly in their last game. SKN’s lack of form and momentum would definitely trouble them in this upcoming fixture. BR didn’t get the chance to play a lot of cricket and hence is unaware of their strength. Hence considering the Royals’ performance with the bat and ball despite not winning a single game this year, they would have a slight edge in this match over SKN.
