After Josh Hazlewood now, David Warner has been ruled of the BGT test series against India

The Visitors Australia has suffered a major setback amid the Border-Gavaskar series being played against India. Australia's star batter David Warner has been ruled out of the remaining two matches of the series after sustaining a hairline fracture. The 36-year-old batter was injured during the 2nd test match against India in Delhi. Warner's injury is serious and he will have to return home to get it treated. Warner's replacement has not yet been announced by Australia.

Australia cricket Board has stated that David Warner has been ruled out of the remaining two matches of the Test series. They issued a statement saying, "Warner suffered an elbow injury during the Delhi Test. Warner will not be available for the remaining two matches of the series. He has been ruled out of the Qantas test tour of India and will return home," The report further added this afternoon, "Warner was struck on the elbow in the second Test in Delhi and sustained a hairline fracture. "After further assessment, he will require a period of rehabilitation which will preclude any further involvement in the remainder of the Test series. It is currently anticipated that he will return to India for the three One-Day Internationals which follow the Test Series."

Australian Cricket Board has not made it clear that in the event of Warner not playing, who will handle the opening with Khawaja? But there is a possibility that only Travis Head can play the role of Khawaja's partner. In the second innings of the Delhi Test, Warner was not available to bat and the team management sent Head to the field as an opener.

After trailing 0-2 in the series, we may couple of changes in the Australian team before the third test. Cameron Green, who was out of the team in the first two Tests, is now fully fit. Green's play is almost confirmed for the Indore test. The right-handed all-rounder will be seen batting at number 6. With the arrival of Green, Australia is expected to get additional options in bowling as well.

The Australian team is going through bad form. Aussies have so far failed to read the Indian pitches. The absence of the main players might cost them in the remaining two matches as well. The Visitors had to face defeat by innings and 132 runs in the first match of the Test series against India which was played in Nagpur. After this, the second match was played in Delhi. In this, Australia had to face a crushing defeat by 6 wickets with that team India has successfully retained the BGT trophy after taking a 2-0 lead in the 4-match test series.

There are some positives for the Australian side ahead of the Indore test left-arm fast bowler Mitchell Starc and all-rounder Cameron Green both are fit and likely to be part of Australia's playing XI for this test match. Australian head coach McDonald confirmed that Green is 100 per cent fit for the third Test while Starc is also available for selection.
