The 2nd T20I between Bangladesh and England will be played in Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka, on Sunday, 12th March 2023, at 02:30 PM IST.

It is a minor surprise that England is again the overwhelming favorite despite playing on foreign fields and losing two straight games.

In the first three T20 matches, Bangladesh performed outstanding cricket, crushing England with two overs remaining. Bangladesh maintains its winning streak after defeating England in the most recent ODI. Shanto scored 51 runs off 30 deliveries to help his team win the T20 match.

Bangladesh will undoubtedly credit Shanto's 51 runs for the victory. Still, Al Hasan's 34* (including six 4s) and Hridoy's 24 also deserve recognition since they were crucial in leading their side to victory in the latter overs.

The bowlers from Bangladesh were a major factor in the triumph since they held England's score low at 156 runs, allowing them to score only 21 runs in the last four overs of their innings. Each of the five bowlers took a wicket, and Mahmud was the only one to take two. That was a true team effort in accurate, deadly bowling.

Even though the English are the current T20 World Cup winners, losing two straight games against Bangladesh has slightly worried England. The batsmen had a strong start, scoring 80 runs from the first 10 overs (including 0/51 from the Powerplay), with Buttler scoring 67 runs from 42 deliveries and Salt scoring 38.

But, other than Salt and Buttler, the other England batters played rather poorly, scoring only 44 runs! Malan was a great surprise since he only got 15 runs in his past three games after making 114* in the first ODI.

No England bowler managed to take more than one wicket because they couldn't seem to adjust to the pitch's somewhat slower, less favorable conditions. Mark Wood received harsh punishment due to his subpar ER of 12.00.

With three half-centuries in his past four games, Shanto and Al Hasan have been batting superbly recently. Bangladesh may secure another win if opener Das provides strong assistance Shanto and Al Hasan again hit half a century or more.
