West Ham is trying to tempt Eden Hazard's comeback from retirement!

English former footballer Kevin Nolan wants to allow Eden Hazard to undergo a trial at West Ham, as he predicts the Chelsea legend will reverse his decision to retire from football. At just 32 years old, the Belgian striker announced his retirement from the world of football earlier this week, after leaving Real Madrid at the end of last season and not having a contract with a new club.

Hazard had a great spell at Chelsea from 2012-19, but endured a poor spell at Los Blancos following his big-money move to the Santiago Bernabeu, making just 76 appearances for the Spanish giants in four seasons and scoring seven goals. Hazard may have struggled for fitness and form over the past four years, but The Hammers' assistant coach Nolan feels that Hazard still can compete at the highest level and is keen to take him on trial at the club.

When asked if West Ham would be interested in bringing the former Premier League star out of retirement, the former Bolton ace was happy to welcome Hazard back. "I would take Chelsea's version of Hazard to West Ham," Nolan told talkSPORT.

"I'm sure if he wants to come and have a trial, we'll do it, I mean, I'm willing. I don't know what the coach [David Moyes] thinks. But I want to test his abilities! Nolan backed Hazard to reverse his decision, adding: "It's very sad that at the age of 32, he has decided to retire because I'm sure someone with his quality of play can play at the top level for many more years. "I wouldn't be surprised if we get a little bit of the opposite of that in the next six months to a year." During his time at Stamford Bridge, Hazard won two Premier League titles, the FA Cup, the EFL Cup and two Europa League titles, as well as scoring 110 goals in 352 appearances.

"I just think at 32, he's just said he's retired. It happens a lot [of players cancelling retirement], I remember when [Paul] Scholes did it. Then he got a call from Sir Alex [Ferguson] and he said, "Oh yes, I'll be back." “I just think something like that could happen with Hazard because someone might be willing to allow him to say “come on, come in and play for us for six months”.
