Former English left-handed batter Eoin Morgan has retired from all forms of cricket at the age of 36

Former English left-handed batter Eoin Morgan, who made England the ODI World Series winner in 2019, has retired from all forms of cricket at the age of 36. Morgan retired from international cricket last year in June. Six months later, he decided to end his career as a player altogether.

Morgan said "Since retiring from international cricket, I have been able to spend more time with my loved ones, and I look forward to being able to do more and more of this in the future. Morgan scored 5,042 runs in first-class cricket, 11,654 runs in List A and 7,780 runs in T20Is, which started back in 2006. In this, he scored 13 centuries. He was the most successful captain of England in ODIs. He led his team to victory in 76 out of 126 matches. He scored 2458 runs in 115 T20 matches at a strike rate of 136.18 with 14 fifties.

He was also a part of the team that won the first T20 WC for England in the West Indies in 2010. Morgan was also the captain of the team that lost the final in the 2016 T20 WC. As captain, he won England's 42 T20 matches in 72 matches.

Under the leadership of Morgan, England started playing fearlessly and made the biggest score in ODI cricket several times. Morgan became the first captain to win the ODI WC for England.
