Are Man United eyeing to target Jarrad Branthwaite from Everton?

EPL side Everton's manager Sean Dyche has responded to rumours of Manchester United's interest in Jarrad Branthwaite. He emphasized that the defender would not be sold to Everton this summer. It is common knowledge that the Red Devils will buy a new central defender this summer. They need additional staff in that sector because their central defenders are running low.

One of the defenders linked with Man United is Jarrad Branthwaite and the 21-year-old centre-back defender caught the attention of Erik Ten Hag thanks to his great performance. However, The Red Devils seem to be biting the bullet, because the Toffees are reluctant to sell the player. "We don't want to sell our best players," said Sean Dyche as quoted by Sportsmole. According to Dyche, there is no reason for Everton to sell Branthwaite. He said that the defender was his main player so he was not interested in letting him go to any club. "We only trade players if we have problems with the player until now we haven't had any problems with him," continued Dyche.

"I hope we don't have to sell our players in the summer. At the moment we don't plan to sell them." In Dyche's eyes, Everton must keep Branthwaite no matter what. He considers the defender to be an asset for his team in the future. "He [Branthwaite] is a very good player and he has also proven it. I like him because he can adapt to the opponent's game and he has good timing," continued Dyche.

"That's why we don't want to sell him, we are also not a club that likes selling our players," he concluded. The Red Devils have many obstacles to recruiting Branthwaite this summer. The defender just renewed his contract at Goodison Park and his transfer fee reached £80 million.
