Another exciting contest awaits in the fourth match of the Indian T20 League, 2023 when Bhuvneshwar Kumar-led Hyderabad will face off against Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan side on Sunday at April 02, 03:30 PM IST from Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.

Rajasthan won the first-ever IND T20 League back in 2008 under the leadership of the late Shane Warne. The Pink army is still eyeing to repeat the same this year under the leadership of Samson. RAJ performed very well in the previous edition of this tournament and managed to reach the finals.

On the other hand, Under the leadership of ex-HYD player David Warner, the side touched the prestigious glory back in 2016 and the side is yet to find a proper balance in their side. The performance of the HYD team was very disappointing in the previous edition and they were placed in the eighth position in the points table in 2022. The Orange army won 6 out of 14 matches and lost 8 matches in the league.

This year Hyderabad has made a lot of changes and has appointed Aiden Markram as its new captain, although in the absence of Aiden Markram, experienced fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be seen leading the SRH team in its opening encounter, while Rajasthan has included Jason Holder, Joe Root, Harry Brook in its team for this season.

The likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Fazalhaq Farooqi must strike early in the game as Rajasthan has a very strong batting line-up. The young gun bowler Umran Malik has to make use of his pace and bowl in the right areas in the middle overs with Adil Rashid and Mayank Markande. HYD will also expect tight spells in the game from Sundar and Abhishek Sharma in the supporting role.  

The prolific English batter Jos Buttler was in phenomenal form last year, and the wicket-keeper batter makes it a formidable opening pair with Yashasvi Jaiswal. The side is strong in the middle order with Samson, Devdutt Padikkal, and Shimron Hetmyer, and the trio shall look to do well. The all-rounder Parag did well last year, and he makes the lower middle order formidable with veteran spinner Ashwin.

The 32-year-old batter Rahul Tripathi was the second-highest run-scorer for HYD last season and scored 413 runs in 14 games at an average of 37.54 and a strike rate of 158.23, including three half-centuries. Tripathi won the Player of the Match award in two of the four games SRH won last year.

The 24-year-old English batter Harry Brook made his international debut last year and is regarded as one of the best batters in the current generation. Brook has scored over 1200 runs since 2022 at an average of 46.92. He has made a century and three half-centuries in his last five overall innings.
