Ind T20 League 2024 has got off to a spectacular start, and we have had last over finishes in the last few games. Hyderabad lost their opening fixture against Kolkata, while Mumbai lost their season opener against Gujarat.

Change in skipper didn’t change Mumbai’s trend of losing their season’s inaugural game for the 12th consecutive edition of the Indian T20 League. In a nail biting encounter that went right down the wire, the five time champions failed to hold their nerves and eventually lost the match by 6 runs against Gujarat. Mumbai would like to shrug off the disappointing loss and open their account for the season. They have a decent record against Hyderabad and Pandya would like his players to take inspiration from this. 

Ishan Kishan missed out against Gujarat, and he will eye a strong start in this game with former skipper Rohit Sharma, who did well. The middle order comprises the likes of Naman Dhir, Dewald Brevis and Tilak Varma. Tim David and Hardik Pandya are fierce strikers of the cricket ball and complete a formidable batting lineup for this side. 

Skipper Pandya and Luke Wood looked jaded in the last game, and the team will be hoping for a good show from the duo in the early overs. Jasprit Bumrah lived up to his name and put on a commanding performance in the opening fixture. Shams Mulani, Piyush Chawal and Gerald Coetzee must play the supporting role to perfection, as Hyderabad have clean strikers in their team.
