An injury has ruled Nathan Coulter-Nile out of Indian T20 League 2022

A huge blow for the Rajasthan franchise as Nathan Coulter-Nile will have to fly back home after suffering from a side strain. The fast bowling all-rounder injured himself while bowling in the first match against Hyderabad and didn’t return to the field ever since. He couldn’t even complete the over and now the Aussie will be in rehab to get back into shape.

The head physio of the Royals, John Gloster broke the news at the camp as he said, “It’s always hard to lose someone, particularly when it’s through an injury. You know we were looking forward to spending time with you (Coulter-Nile) throughout this tournament.

Now, Coulter-Nile has a history of injuries and this is not the first time when he will bow out of the tournament because of that. In 2014, when he used to play for Delhi, something similar happened. Despite all this, the Aussie has a decent record in the tournament as he picked up 48 wickets from 39 matches.

Since it happened, the social media is brainstorming to find a perfect replacement for him. A lot of names like David Weise, Shanaka, Shakib Al Hasan are in the mix as Rajasthan team is yet to announce his replacement. They will primarily look for an all-rounder but can settle with a batter as well. The Zimbabwean pacer, who’s a net bowler for the Lucknow franchise is a name that has been discussed by the fans in Social media. Don’t expect the Royals to take time before they announce their new player.
