Hazlewood has been ruled out of the ongoing BGT in India after he failed to recover from an Achilles injury

 

In the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy after failing to recover from an Achilles injury Australia’s fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out of the BGT tour. His rehabilitation from an Achilles complaint has sidelined him from the first two Tests in Nagpur and Delhi against India Meanwhile, Mitchell Starc and Cameron Green, who missed the first two games, are set to return for the third Test match.

Australia has faced defeat in the first two matches of the test series. Following an embarrassing loss in the Delhi Test for the Visitors, got another piece of bad news on Monday. Things have gone from bad to worse for the touring Visitors. According to a report, Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out of the entire series against India due to injury. The left-handed batter Opener Warner suffered a concussion and a hairline fracture in Delhi Test and he is likely to be sent back home along with Hazlewood. At the same time, Pat Cummins is returning home due to some serious family health issues but he is likely to make his comeback before the 3rd test match.

The Australian team is going through bad form. Aussies have so far failed to read the Indian pitches. The absence of the main players might cost them in the remaining two matches as well. The Visitors had to face defeat by innings and 132 runs in the first match of the Test series against India which was played in Nagpur. After this, the second match was played in Delhi. In this, Australia had to face a crushing defeat by 6 wickets with that team India has successfully retained the BGT trophy after taking a 2-0 lead in the 4-match test series.

There are some positives for the Australian side ahead of the Indore test left-arm fast bowler Mitchell Starc and all-rounder Cameron Green both are fit and likely to be part of Australia's playing XI for this test match. Australian head coach McDonald confirmed that Green is 100 per cent fit for the third Test while Starc is also available for selection.
