Jurgen Klopp named as the Premier League Manager of the Season!

So close yet to so far – That is how you can define Liverpool’s Premier League season as the Merseyside club secured 92 points in the league and yet failed to bag the title. Jurgen Klopp, the German manager and his team gave their all but it wasn’t enough as Pep Guardiola and his boys at Manchester City secured 93 points in the league and retained their Premier League title. What they missed in the process was winning the FA Cup and Carabao cup. Thus, despite losing to Pep Guardiola in the Premier League title race, Jurgen Klopp was awarded with the Premier League and League Association Manager of the season.

“It's a great honour and it was an insane season”, said the 54-year-old. He added, “The last match day when only two games were meaningless and in the rest, we all played for absolutely everything. It was not the best outcome for us but we are over it”, said Klopp after losing out on the trophy in the final game week.

Klopp has his eyes set on the Champions League final where the Reds will challenge Real Madrid at Paris. Mohammed Salah, Klopp’s go-to man has already sent a message that he wants revenge for the 2018 final while the German sent a message to Carlo Ancelotti reminding him what Liverpool did to AC Milan in 2005 Finale when the Italian was in charge. “Carlito (Carlo Ancelotti), we are coming” is the message he sent to his longtime friend.

Klopp ended the conversation by saying, “This being voted for by my colleagues is obviously the most important prize you can get”.
