Kuldeep’s All-round Performance hammered Bangladesh on Day 2

After the brilliance of Iyer and Pujara on Day 1, Kuldeep and Ashwin hammered Bangladesh on Day 2 Stumps. In the first innings, India scored a humongous total of 404 runs. India started the day with the partnership of Kuldeep and Ashwin’s 92-run partnership. Ashwin scored his 14th Test half-a-ton (58 runs 2 fours, 2 sixes - 113 balls) with Kuldeep Yadav’s test career’s best (40 runs, 5 fours - 114 balls). After their partnership, the boundaries of Umesh and Siraj take India’s score above 400.

Bangladesh openers disappoint again. Opener Najmul Hossain Shanto got out on his first delivery without scoring a single run. Bangladesh got early shocks as the score was 39 for 3 when Bangla Tiger’s Captain Litton Das got bowled by Siraj. The whole day, hosts struggled to set up a partnership because of Kuldeep’s spin web.

Kuldeep’s spin wrapped up the middle and lower middle order of the hosts and took four wickets in just 10 economical overs. Mohammad Siraj (9-1-14-3) and Umesh Yadav (8-1-33-1) also got the wickets in their bags as both got the top order of the team.

It is good to say that it was the day of Kuldeep Yadav. First with the bat and then with the ball. Kuldeep keeps Bangladesh under his thumb with his all-round performance.

The third day of every test is said to be a crucial and moving day of any test. Now it will be interesting to see India put follow-on the host or test their batting strength.
