Romelu Lukaku rejoins Inter Milan after being labelled as the worst transfer in history!

The Belgian International was never very happy since returning to his boyhood club in the last year. After an exceptional season at San Siro, where he helped his team win their first Scudetto after 10 long years, many clubs wanted to sign Lukaku. Inter had no intention to sell the big forward but with the kind of money Chelsea was offering, it was hard to pass. Inter was in dire need of the money as the Covid-19 pandemic hit the finance of the club. Thus, Lukaku was sold for more than 97 million Euros and the journey to become the worst transfer ever began!

Lukaku, who knows the nitty-gritties of the Premier League was destined to success but the 29-year-old couldn’t really make it count. The funny thing is that the Belgian International still finished as the top scorer for Chelsea after netting 15 times for the Blues! It is his attitude and the respect for the club is what was bothering Thomas Tuchel.

He expressed that he was unhappy at the club and ever since the Chelsea fans couldn’t accept the Belgian. He was dropped from the team for a brief time and since then it was evident that the player will not continue in London next season. What’s shocking and disappointing for the club is that they spent almost 100 million Euros for a player who doesn’t want to play for the club. Inter will pay 8.4 million Euros for his loan fee as the big central-forward will take a pay cut in order to rejoin Inter.

The team also aims to sign Dybala in the summer after his contract with Juventus came to an end. With Lautaro Martinez already in the team, Inter looks like a good side before the start of the next season. Can they win their 2nd Scudetto in three years? Chances are very high!
