Real Madrid set to challenge The Citiznes in the UCL Clash

Former Real Madrid striker and sporting director Predrag Mijatovic warned Manchester City to be careful and not underestimate Los Blancos in the Champions League quarterfinals.

The 14-time UCL winner Real Madrid managed to secure a place in the quarter-finals of the 2023/2024 Champions League. They previously eliminated RB Leipzig in the round of 16. Following the UCL draws, Real Madrid received a difficult opponent, Carlo Ancelotti's men will face defending champions Manchester City. The Citizens managed to get rid of Real Madrid with a 5-1 aggregate in the 2023/2024 Champions League semifinals. Now Mijatovic warns that The Citizens should not underestimate Los Blancos.

"We are on the right track in the league and the Champions League, be careful, it would not be smart to underestimate Madrid," Mijatovic told AS. “Three years ago I had lunch with (City Sports Director Txiki) Begiristain in Manchester. “When talking about the Champions League, he told me: 'Before the draw, there was only one team that no one wanted to face: Real Madrid.'”
