Man Utd sacks Ole after a shambolic loss to Watford

Ole’s no more at the wheel, eh? The headline may sound rude but the story is more or less the same. After plenty of opportunities given to the legend, Ole couldn’t really do anything with the squad and like expected, was dismissed from his role as the head coach of Manchester United.
After the announcement was made official, United fans were in a dilemma. They were very happy with the decision as under Ole, the red devils were pretty bad this season but on the other hand, Solskjaer is a legend of the club and has given plenty of epic moments in the past. Like many said on social media, he brought back that spirit that United used to have under Sir Alex Ferguson. Nevertheless, that isn’t everything in football and with that; Ole left Carrington with a heavy heart.
In an interview after the announcement, Ole wished the new interim coach Michael Carrick all the best and also mentioned that he will follow all the matches of United and will always support them. However, the question remains, what really was the problem?
The problem was that he didn’t have enough experience in his bag. Managing Manchester United was easy before as the quality of the players were not great and Ole managed to bring the best out of them. Honestly, the expectations were not huge either. However, after signing Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho, you have to compete for the title. The plan was so but Ole failed to manage such heavyweight names and couldn’t really come up with a perfect plan. He showed the way but now United needs a tactical genius who will take them home.
Zinedine Zidane said no to the job while Ajax manager Tan Hag doesn’t really want to talk about it. Pochettino won’t leave the job of Paris to coach United for obvious reasons. So, who can join the team and change the fate of the club? Brendan Rodgers, the current head coach of Leicester City is one such name that can join United but everything is up in the air at the moment. One thing is clear that Michael Carrick is not the solution. If he would have been the team would have played well as Carrick was working under Ole for quite some time now. It’s a difficult time at Carrington. They will face Villarreal in a Champions League match in a couple of days. If United fails to sort things out as soon as possible, there will be a lot of heartbreaks at Old Trafford. From title contenders to qualify for Europe, the road is really tough for United.
