Even when a couple of their players tested Covid positive along with three of their support staff, Delhi played some unbelievable cricket and thrashed Punjab in their last match. Be it their bowling, batting or bowling, they excelled in every field and looks like the introduction of David Warner changed everything for the team. Coming to Rajasthan, they look class apart at the moment. They are arguably the best team this season and thus, expect a fiery clash when these two sides meet in the Indian T20 League.

To start with Delhi, Mitchell Marsh and Tim Seifart will definitely miss the game and Anrich Nortje isn’t fully fit. It’s been reported that Marsh and Seifart have tested negative for Covid but the team might not take the risk. Now, despite playing under these tough circumstances, Delhi is playing quality cricket. Since their inception, they only know how to attack and the likes of David Warner, Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant are just doing that at the moment. The bowlers are going for runs but they are taking wickets as well and that’s why the opponents are failing to create any kind of pressure. Khaleel Ahmed, who was considered to be a “mistake buy”, is changing the game for Delhi. He’s very consistent with his line and length. Kuldeep has been fantastic as well and Delhi has been doing well lately. There’s no concern as such. The problem however is with their batting. In case the above-mentioned three batters fail to step up, then the team can succumb under pressure. They definitely miss someone like Stoinis. Even though Axar is doing well, still there’s a lot of room for improvement.

You can hardly argue on how Rajasthan can improve. Yes, some of their players are not in form but as a team, they are playing some fantastic credit. Much of the credit goes to Jos Buttler, who has been absolutely brilliant in this season. Bowlers have done very well as well and they are one of the favourites to lift the trophy this season. In their last match, Yuzi Chahal picked up five wickets and also took a hat-trick and changed the complexion of the game. Batting may look a bit weak if Buttler fails but Shimron Hetmyer has impressed one and all. The problem is that the team cannot be dependent on certain personalities. Once they come out of that, they can become invincible.

Rajasthan are firm favourites to win this battle but one cannot dismiss Delhi’s chances. It is indeed going to be a cracker contest when these two giants meet at Wankhede.

David Warner is in red hot form at the moment. He is striking the ball cleanly and making a real difference. He has a lot of things to prove and he probably chose this season to lash out everything he’s got!

Yuzvendra Chahal is a must pick. Regarded as a T20 specialist, the spin wizard took a fifer in the last match and he’s a safe bet. You can even consider him to be the captain of your side. The current purple cap holder will be key in this match.

Kuldeep Yadav, the other half of the Kulcha partnership is on a song this season. It looks like he’s on a mission and the boy wants to get back to the Indian side as soon as possible. He will be an important player for Delhi against Rajasthan.

Shimron Hetmyer has revolutionised himself in this season. From being a risky captaincy choice, the young Caribbean has proved deadly and one can indeed think of making him the captain of the side. He’s got tremendous potential.

Devdutt Padikkal is not having a great tournament thus far. He has got starts but has failed to convert them into big scores. It is just a matter of time with Padikkal. Once he gets going, he is hard to contain.
