Men's ODI World Series 2023 Revised Schedule Out!
IND vs PAK World Series Clash Confirmed for October 14
The much awaited men’s ODI World Series fixture between India and Pakistan has been confirmed to be held on October 14 in Ahmedabad, one day before the original scheduled date i.e. October 15. The International Cricket Board also confirmed the alterations made to eight other fixtures at the mega event, commencing on October 5.
With arch rivals India and Pakistan squaring off on October 14, both the games on that double header Saturday have been shifted. While the originally scheduled day tie between New Zealand and Bangladesh in Chennai will be played on October 13 as a day night game, the England vs Afghanistan match will be played on October 15 in Delhi. Because the NZ fixture is moving to October 13, the mouthwatering battle between Australia and South Africa will now be played on October 12 instead of 13.
Pakistan’s fixture prior to the summit clash against India has also been changed, with their match against Sri Lanka set to be played on October 10 instead of 12 in Hyderabad. England’s meeting with Bangladesh on October 10 has been changed from a day game to a day night fixture, in order to adjust the Pakistan-Sri Lanka game. Towards the end of the league stage, a double header has also witnessed a few tweaks, with the two games- Australia vs Bangladesh in Pune and England vs Pakistan in Kolkata- shifted from November 12 to November 11, while India’s clash with the Dutch will now take place on November 12.
The ODI World Series will begin with the game between last edition’s finalists- England and New Zealand- in Ahmedabad and will finish at the same venue on November 19.
