MS Dhoni steps down and hands over the captaincy baton to Ravindra Jadeja!

The cricket fraternity is surprised and shocked to say the least as the four times Indian T20 League captain MS Dhoni steps down as the Chennai captain and Ravindra Jadeja will now lead the team. It has been rumoured for years that MS Dhoni will bid goodbye to cricket soon but by the looks of it, the process has started.

You can’t imagine someone else walking down the idle as Chennai skipper but the fans need to get used to it now. In his career as Indian T20 League captain, Dhoni has won 121 of his 204 matches and helped the team to reach 9 finals in the process.

The Chennai franchise in an official statement said that, “MS Dhoni has decided to hand over the leadership of Chennai and picked Ravindra Jadeja to lead the team. Jadeja, who has been an integral part of Chennai since 2012, will only be the third player to lead Chennai. Dhoni will continue to represent Chennai this season and beyond”.
