In the match, opener Shan Masood scored 51 runs off just 33 balls whereas Mohammad Rizwan from the other end smashed 110* runs off just 64 deliveries to add up to a total of 196 runs at the end of 20 overs with just the fall of 2 wickets. No bowler was successful in keeping the run flow under check, only Imran Tahir and Shoaib Malik kept their economies under 10. Tahir also took the wicket of Masood. 

In the second half of the game, opener James Vince retaliated on behalf of KAR and thrashed 75 runs off just 34 balls. Skipper Imad Wasim remained unbeaten at a score of 46 runs off just 26 deliveries but eventually failed to reach the target by just 3 runs. Abbas Afridi took a couple of wickets along with Usama Mir and Khushdil Shah who picked one wicket apiece and were also equally significant as the batters to get the three-run thriller to win.
