Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi will cross swords for the 20th match of the Pakistan T20 League 2024. The game is scheduled to be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Monday, March 4. 

Islamabad faced Quetta and Peshawar clashed against Lahore in their previous encounters but both were washed out by heavy downpours. Now the sides will hope the rain gods will have mercy on them to conduct an uninterrupted match tonight.

The Shadab Khan-led ISL side are placed in the fourth place in the points table. They lost three straight matches before coming back with a 7-wicket victory over Karachi Kings in their latest outing at the National Stadium in Karachi, the previous week.

On the other hand, Babar Azam and Co are occupying third place in the league standings with an 8-run win over Islamabad United at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore last week.

This reverse fixture is going to be a firecracker of a show as previously the Peshawar skipper Babar Azam smashed an unbeaten 111 runs off 63 balls to steer his side to a mammoth total of 201 runs at a loss of 5 wickets in the first innings. While retaliating, the services of Azam Khan (75 off 30) and Colin Munro (71 off 53) carried Islamabad very close to a remarkable win but Arif Yaqoob’s five-wicket haul restricted them to 193, hence losing the nail-biting thriller by 8 runs.
