In the game, Multan batted first and drafted a total of 189 runs for a loss of 3 wickets. Usman Khan smashed 106 runs in just 59 balls to take his side to a defending total. He hit 10 fours and 5 sixes during his power-packed innings. 

Karachi lost frequent wickets which made their winning an unachievable dream as the game progressed.  With a few 20-plus knocks from the middle-order batters, they fell short of 20 runs at the end to lose the match against the Sultans. 

Peshawar are sitting in fourth place in the league table with 3 wins from 7 matches. The Babar Azam-led side lost their last game against Islamabad United by 29 runs. While batting first, ISL posted a huge total of 196 runs losing 4 wickets. PES lost their swiftness right from the beginning and lost 5 wickets for just 18 runs. A few positives from the game was their fighting mentality which was shown by Aamir Jamal and Paul Walter who scored 87 and 33 runs respectively.

Previously in this season, PES have beaten Rizwan’s side by 5 runs but looking at their current form we don’t expect them to repeat the same. The Sultans have powerful batters and an explosive bowling arsenal which is tough to compete against but we are not ruling out the possibility of Peshawar getting away with the game, as they are the only side to defeat MUL, this season. Considering all prospects we fancy the table-toppers Multan Sultans to win this encounter.
