The famous British presenter and big Arsenal fan, Piers Morgan, was disappointed with the performance of his favourite team when they hosted Aston Villa. Arsenal met Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium in week 33 of the 2023/2024 Premier League on Sunday(14th April 2024). Instead of getting three crucial points, the Gunners were feigned and the visitors' superiority with a score of 0-2.

Arsenal had the opportunity to sit alone at the top of the standings following Liverpool's 0-1 defeat at home to Crystal Palace. However, the Gunners messed up their dream scenario for winning the EPL title. Goals from Leon Bailey and Ollie Watkins showed that Arsenal is now stuck in second place in the standings with 71 points, two points behind Manchester City who have taken over at the top of the standings after 32 league matches. The 59-year-old Morgan actively tweeted on his personal X account while watching that high-flying contest between Arsenal and Aston Villa. After the match ended in defeat, Morgan vented his frustration. "Broadcast. We messed up again, Hard to believe," wrote Morgan after the match ended.

"The lack of a proper striker at Arsenal came back to haunt us. So many opportunities in the first half, but none of them were taken. If Watkins had played for us, we would have won 3-0," he continued. Morgan is known as a close friend and big fan of Cristiano Ronaldo, who now plays for Al Nassr. Morgan did not hesitate to imagine that Ronaldo would play for Arsenal. "I think @Cristiano will score 25+ goals in a season on our team with the service he is getting," Morgan wrote. "Arteta's refusal to prioritize top strikers is one of his major blind spots,” he said.
