Toni Kroos' future with Real Madrid is finally revealed

Toni Kroos' future seems to have come to light. Most recently, the well-experienced German player will extend his contract with Real Madrid and stay with the Spanish giants until 2025. The fate of the German national team midfielder has been a hot topic in recent weeks, with his current contract with Los Blancos set to expire at the end of the 2023/24 season. The 34-year-old midfielder played in all of Los Blancos' games this season and is a stable midfield player who can be an example for the younger players.

The German sniper joined Los Blancos in 2014 and has since made more than 450 appearances for the club in all competitions, winning four Champions League and three La Liga titles as well as several other trophies. After showing his class permanently when returning to the German national team squad in an international friendly in March, Kroos is now expected to extend his stay with Real Madrid by signing a new contract, according to Fabrizio Romano.

This is a big surprise considering that on March 19, he left his future wide open for debate. "A lot of things are unclear about what will happen after the Euros. I don't even have a contract with the club for next season. I have to clarify that first," he said. The 64-year-old head coach Ancelotti launched a new generation of midfielders at Santiago Bernabeu, including Jude Bellingham, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga and Federico Valverde, Kroos still appeared as a starter in 20 matches in Spain's top flight.

In the summer, he will reach a decade of service at the Santiago Bernabeu and he hopes to add four UCL titles and three La Liga titles before his anniversary. His comrade-in-arms, Luka Modric, has not been featured much, with 1161 minutes played in La Liga compared to Kroos' 1799 minutes. Only Valverde, Antonio Rudiger and Rodrygo have played more minutes. The former Bayern Munich player recently made a comeback from retirement from the international stage and produced two outstanding performances as Germany beat France and the Netherlands in friendlies leading up to Euro 2024.
