Rasmus Hojlund's two brilliant goals against Galatasaray

Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund appeared very impressive in the match against Galatasaray. This earned him praise from manager Erik Ten Hag. Manchester United received a visit from Galatasaray in the 2023/2024 Champions League Group A match on Tuesday. This match took place at Old Trafford where the Hosts were beaten 2-3 by the Turkish side.

The 20-year-old forward Hojlund performed brilliantly by contributing two goals for the Red Devils. He broke through Galatasaray's goal which was guarded by Fernando Muslera in the 17th and 67th minutes.

Unfortunately, the Danish striker Hojlund's goal was unable to bring the Red Devils to victory. The reason is, that the Red Devils had to recognize Galatasaray's superiority with a score of 2-3. The Head Coach Ten Hag praised Hojlund's performance in the match against Galatasaray. According to him, the striker has shown a very good performance.

"It was a very good performance. He scored two brilliant goals, I think especially the second goal where he played alone and used his strength and power," said Ten Hag at UEFA. "It was a good finish. The first was a really good team goal, a counter-attack with Casemiro and Rashford providing good crosses."

Hojlund has now scored three goals for Manchester United after being brought in from Atalanta. Ten Hag hopes Hojlund can continue scoring goals.

"So yeah, very happy with his performance and hopefully he can add to his goals from here, that's a good thing," concluded Ten Hag.
