Race to sign Bellingham intensifies with Madrid stepping in 

After a frenzied January, the transfer window is now closed! But now we shift our focus towards the summer and the rumours are already in full force! As per sources Real Madrid and Liverpool are keeping close tabs on England’s teen sensation Jude Bellingham. Despite strong interest from Liverpool, The Whites are not backing out according to AS. 

The report states that Madrid are eager to sign the talented midfielder from Borussia Dortmund this summer, but face tough competition as Jurgen Klopp’s cordial relations with the German club provide a potential advantage for Liverpool in the race to sign the English international. 

Despite this, it is reported that Madrid also have amicable relations with BVB, although there is no current contact with the club regarding the transfer move. It is believed that the German giants have currently been left in the dark regarding Bellingham’s decision on his future, though it looks highly unlikely for him to renew his contract with the Bundesliga club. 

Instead, the German professional club will eye a Bellingham transfer this summer to augment their financial rewards from any possible deal, with his contract set to expire in 2025. 

Bellingham has once again been impressive this season so far, scoring 10 and making four goals (assists) in the 24 games across all competitions, and had an noteworthy World Cup campaign for England where he scored in the opener against Iran.
