According to the sources, the medical team has decided not to take any risks after examining Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma returned to Mumbai after being injured in the second ODI against Bangladesh. He was replaced by Shubman Gill in the first test, who scored his maiden test century, scoring 110 runs in the second innings of the first Test. In such a situation, it was not easy to decide who should be dropped when Rohit was to be part of the playing XI. Had Rohit been there, Rahul would have been the vice-captain.
