Man Utd players urge Sancho to apologise to Ten Hag

Manchester United’s Sancho has been urged to apologise to boss Erik Ten Hag by his teammates, according to a source.

Sancho has been expelled from first team training after his foolish outburst with the manager over being excluded from the squad for United’s match against Arsenal earlier this month. The English forward has so far refused to say sorry and no timeframe has been defined for his return to the squad.

The rift has lasted well over three weeks and Sancho’s club and international teammates, led by Marcus Rashford. Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire, have suggested the 23 year old to apologise.

According to a source, Sancho, has been told by his clubmates to say sorry to Ten Hag and move on with his career at Old Trafford

The forward has not been included in the squad for matches against Brighton, Bayern Munich and Burnley while he remains banished from training.

He’s also been ousted from all first team areas including the canteen and dressing rooms. Sancho is training separately with club coaches and is rarely allowed any interaction with his senior colleagues.

The Professional Footballers Association has stepped in a bid to resolve the stand-off between Ten Hag and Sancho and find a middle ground.

Sancho is ready to leave the club in the January transfer window, but his contract is until at least 2026. He joined United from Borussia Dortmund in a £73 million deal in 2021.

Meanwhile, both Harry Maguire and Mason Mount trained with the squad ahead of the Carabao Cup third round tie against Crystal Palace on Tuesday. Mount has spent much of his time at Old Trafford on the sidelines, while Maguire was left out for trips to Bayern and Burnley.

Sofyan Amrabat could make his full debut on Tuesday after featuring as a late substitute in a 1-0 win over Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday.
