Ganguly set to rejoin the Delhi franchise
Former Indian Cricket Council’s president Sourav Ganguly will be making his comeback as the Director of Cricket with the Delhi franchise during the Indian T20 League 2023 which will start in April as per the sources.
The former India captain, who was previously replaced as the president of the Apex Council by Roger Binny in October, will handle all the cricket verticals of the franchise along with the International T20 League team, Dubai and the South Africa 20 League side, Pretoria.
"Yes, Sourav will be back with Delhi Capitals this year. The discussions and modalities are over.”
"He has worked with the franchise, shares a good comfort level with owners and if he would have worked in IPL, it would have always been with DC," a source stated.
Ganguly was the mentor of the Delhi franchise during his term in the year 2019.
It is now quite clear that Delhi’s recent auction picks both have head coach Ricky Ponting and Sourav Ganguly's footprints.
