Now fit Suryakumar Yadav is available for Rajasthan match

The flamboyant batter was thoroughly missed in Mumbai’s opening clash against Delhi but the good news is that Suryakumar Yadav is now fully fit and will be taking part in Mumbai’s next match against Rajasthan. Surya, who was retained by the Mumbai franchise ahead of the mega auction, was ruled out for a couple of months because of an injury in his finger. After spending some time at the National Cricket Academy, the 31-year-old has now recovered.

In a statement, the Mumbai franchise has said, “Suryakumar Yadav exited his mandatory quarantine and joined the team (on Wednesday) for the gym session in the company of his mates Kieron Pollard, Ishan Kishan and Jasprit Bumrah. The mood in the camp is upbeat”.

The statement further read, “The team underwent strength and conditioning sessions yesterday under the watchful eyes of Paul Chapman. The session involved weight and fitness training, with the focus on working on core fitness and building strength”.

His inclusion will be a massive boost for the team as the 5-time champions are looking for their maiden win of the season. With Surya in their squad, the team can rely on him and he is a kind of player who will definitely score 400-500 runs in this season and cement his place for the T20 World Series.
