IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans will square off against Salem Spartans in the 22nd match of the Tamil Nadu T20 League which will be played at the Indian Cement Cricket Stadium in Tirunelveli, 3:15 PM onwards on Saturday, July 1.

Tamizhans must win their next game in order to advance in the league. They are placed sixth in the league standings, and a win today will increase their prospects of making the playoffs. They intend to get on the right track.

Salem Spartans, on the other hand, are now in second-last place in the league table. They have only one win this season and will aim to get one or two consecutive victories as quickly as possible.

Tamizhans lost their last match by 8 wickets. In this game, they batted first and scored 173 runs. Sai Kishore contributed 45 runs while Vijay Shankar scored 43 runs to add to the total. Tushar Raheja additionally assisted with 22-ball 30-run innings up the order.

The bowlers had little to cheer about in the second innings, as the opposing team chased down the target while conceding only two wickets. Sai Kishore took both of those wickets, but no other bowler stepped forward to assist.

The Spartans are currently having a terrible season. They were defeated by 79 runs in their previous match. In the match, they bowled first and gave up a lot of runs. The opposition batsmen amassed 199 runs. Sunny Sandhu was the Spartans' best bowler, taking three wickets in the innings but a lack of cooperation from others resulted in failing to stop the flow of runs.

From the Spartans' perspective, the chase was a complete disaster. The batting guild only managed to put forward 120 runs hence losing the match by a massive 79-run margin. For the Salem Batsmen, there were no positives from the game.
