Erik Ten Hag is set to take charge of Manchester United in the coming summer

After a dreadful season, Manchester United was desperate to sign a top class coach who can change the scenario at Old Trafford. A lot of names including Mauricio Pochettino, Zinedine Zidane and others were in the list but the Red Devils reached an agreement in principle with the Ajax boss. The 52-year old has had immense success in the Dutch League and it looks like the manager is set to take a new challenge and come to the toughest league of them all.

Ten Hag helped Ajax reach the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2019 and won the championship in 2019 and in 2021. The team is currently four points clear in the league and despite that, his lack of experience will matter. For example, Ralf Rangnick is a professor of the game.
