Dates out for IND- T20 League 2022 Mega Auction

The much anticipated schedule of the Mega auction for the Indian T20 League 2022 is finally out! It is to be held on February 12 and 13 in Bangalore. Official communication from the Indian Cricket Board is awaited, but sources have confirmed that Ind T20 League officials have called each franchise on Thursday, December 23 to inform them of the dates.

The Indian Cricket Board officials during their calls on Tuesday morning also insisted that the schedule is final despite its clash with an international game- Ind vs West Indies, ODI fixture. The board have assured the franchise that the ODI game will not take a toll on the auction proceedings and they will go as per the schedule. Earlier this year, two new franchises were added in the T20 competition.

Lucknow and Ahmedabad will compete against 8 other franchises for glory. The grand event being held for 10 teams this year, will have nearly 1000 players with 200-250 expected to go under the hammer. Besides, the franchises have been informed about the pre franchise briefing, a typical feature of every auction, will be organized on February 11. In other news, Hyderabad have roped in Brian Lara, Simon Katich among their support staff. The think tank of the orange brigade looks formidable and adept to put together a strong unit.
