Mbappè informs PSG about leaving this summer 

Kylian Mbappé has informed Paris Saint Germain he intends to part ways with the club when his contract expires this summer as per the sources

Earlier reports suggested Mbappé decided to join the Galacticos this summer - finally putting an end to Spanish club’s perennial pursuit of the France star- although he had yet to inform either of the club of his decision. 

According to sources at Madrid the player has still not responded to the offer received, although they are optimistic of Mbappé replying soon as they believe they have done everything in their power to convince him to join. 

Mbappè, who grew up idolising Madrid legends Cristinao Ronaldo and Zindeine Zidane, has always desired to don that white jersey and, as per a source, he believes it is the right time in his career to make a move to Spanish capital. 

Sources also suggest that PSG had two scenarios in mind for their future plans– one where the French star stayed at the club and one where he didn’t. With Mbappè telling his decision, the latter scenario is now coming to fulfilment.

Ahead of PSG’s 2-0 win over Real Sociedad in the first leg of the Round of 16 (Champions League) on Wednesday- during which Mbappè opened the scoring for his side- head coach Luis Enquie said on Tuesday that the prolific goal scorer was acting his usual self even amid rumours surrounding his eventual exit.   

"He [Mbappé] is as usual," Luis Enrique said.

Mbappé has netted 31 goals in 30 games across all competitions this season.
