Red Devils set to agree £55 million Rasmus Hojlund deal

After being linked with several strikers, MU is now starting to focus on pursuing one name. They are reportedly prioritizing the transfer of the 20-year-old Danish star footballer from Atalanta. Fabrizio Romano reports that MU will take concrete steps for this transfer. They will reportedly make their initial bid for the striker soon.

According to Romano's report, Manchester United have been in communication with Atalanta since a few weeks ago. They have already expressed interest in La Dea. They have also discussed how much the transfer fee for the striker is. After going through the negotiation process, Manchester United decided to submit their first bid next week. Romano did not describe the value of the Red Devils' initial offer in his report.

In his report, Romano said that there was a reason why Erik Ten Hag's side decided to send their initial bid for Hojlund next week. This is because one club is interested in hijacking this transfer. The club is PSG who are reportedly projecting Hojlund as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe in their attack line. MU does not want the striker to fall into the arms of the French Club. That's why they accelerated the transfer process for the striker this summer.

Romano also said that Red Devils are currently ahead of PSG for Hojlund's transfer. This is because Hojlund only wants to join the Red Devils this summer and the striker reportedly has agreed his contract at the Red Devils.
