Visa cleared as Moeen Ali is set to join the Chennai franchise
No more visa related issue as Moeen Ali is set to join the Chennai franchise
Moeen Ali’s future looked uncertain for a while but the black clouds have finally gone. The English all-rounder is all set to reach Mumbai on the eve of 24th and will directly go into the isolation. As it took a lot of time for the player to get his visa, Ali is all set to miss the first match against Kolkata at Wankhede. Being a very important player for the team, captain MS Dhoni will definitely miss his service in the first match as he gave a lot of stability in the middle order and without Suresh Raina this season, Chennai needed his service more than ever.
“He picked his papers yesterday and is ready to fly”, is what Moeen’s father Munir Ali has said to the press. The CEO of the Chennai franchise Kasi Viswanathan said, “He will arrive in Mumbai in the evening and will straight away go into isolation”.
It took almost three weeks for Moeen to get his visa even though he travels to India very frequently. However the CEO of the Chennai franchise is happy that finally the uncertainty has come to an end. “He will not be available for the first game against Kolkata but we are happy that all the uncertainty has ended”, he added.
