West Indies Women will lock horns with Ireland Women for the 13th match of the ongoing Women’s World T20 Cup. The match is scheduled at the Newlands in Cape Town on Friday, February 2. 

West Indies Women are not having their best time as they are coming into this match after losing both their matches against England and India respectively. 

In their first match against England Women, they drafted 135 runs at a loss of 7 wickets after choosing to bat first. However, their bowlers failed to stop the England batters as the Three Lions went on to win the match in just 14.3 overs. In the next match against India Women, WI posted only 118 runs after opting to bat first and the Women in Blue chased down the target with 11 balls to spare. 

Ireland Women on the other side, are coming into this match also after facing two humiliating defeats against England and Pakistan. In the first match against England, they encountered a sudden collapse and went down to 105 all out from 80/2. In the second half, although they managed to pick up six wickets, they couldn’t stop the English side which ended them chasing down the target in just 14.2 overs. In their next match against Pakistan, they failed to chase down a total of 165 and lost the game by a huge 70 runs margin.
