Women's World T20 Cup 2023, 15th Match SA-W vs AU-W Preview and Fantasy Prediction
Women's World T20 Cup
15th Match: SA-W vs AU-W
Preview
SA-W and AU-W will cross swords for the 15th match of the ongoing Women’s World T20 Cup. The match is scheduled at St George's Park in Port Elizabeth on Saturday, February 18.
The hosts of the World Championship surely have pride on the line to thrive in this tournament. Although Dane van Niekerk was left off the squad, but Sune Luus and Chloe Tryon performed well till now. Both have scored 50 runs combinedly which isn’t enough but is a good start.
Laura Wolvaardt will have to step up and score more runs in order to contribute to the team. She posted only 31 runs till now but is an important part of the team and her success as a batter will be the key aspect to South Africa’s triumph.
Marizanne Kapp and Nonkululeko Mlaba have been the best bowlers so far and both of them have three wickets each. They just need to tighten their ropes as they have given more runs than they should. The seven times champions are no joke to play against and all these need to be in their exact spots to defeat them.
Australia Women as we all have expected from the defending champions have been dominating the event. No team so far have dared tested them and now the hosts will try to pull all necessary strings to get better off the Australian side.
Alyssa Healy is the present leading run-scorer of the World T20 Cup with 146 runs, her highest score is 55 which came against New Zealand. Also, Meg Lanning has been in solid form scoring 89 runs in total. All eyes will be on Beth Mooney, as before the tournament she was regarded as the best batter but has scored only 58 runs so far.
Oz has also been brilliant with the ball, Megan Schutt led the bowling side with seven wickets and an Economy Rate of 5.30. Ashleigh Gardner is also in the race for the best bowler and has six wickets under her belt. We can’t forget her outstanding 5/12 spell against New Zealand.

Pitch & Weather Report
St George’s Park generally has a slower pitch than the other grounds in South Africa. It would be helpful for the spinners here and the top-order batters have to take time before they go out to hit big shots. The skipper winning the toss should choose to bat first as the ball will turn more in the second inning of the game.
Port Elizabeth’s weather predicted for Saturday will have a maximum temperature of 23 and a minimum of 18 degrees Celsius. There is a huge chance of rain which can affect the whole game. Most precipitation falling will be 100% and humidity is expected to be 78%. Wind speed can go up to 19 kmph on the matchday.
